The Royal Star & Garter Charity provides outstanding nursing & therapeutic care to the ex-Service Community at its Richmond and Solihull Homes.
Since our foundation in 1916, our priority has been to promote independence and enjoyment of an active lifestyle; ensuring individuals are supported in living life to the full. This vision still remains today to ensure that ex-Service men and women of any age, and the widow(er)s, spouses and civil partners of ex-Service people, will benefit from the Charity's care long into the future

FORCES MARCH
Military charity Project 65 has created FORCES MARCH, an incredible annual ‘Super challenge’ to raise funds for the care and support of wounded armed forces personnel and bereaved families.
We are extending invitations to the entirety of Her Majesty’s armed forces, emergency services and civilians to enter a team into the march.
The event is open to both able-bodied and disabled participants.
Teams consist of a minimum of 4 persons and each team must have their own support crew and vehicle to assist with transportation, camp set-up and equipment supplies.

Combat Stress
Combat Stress is the leading service provider in the care of Veterans' mental health. We are able to deliver specialist, trauma-focused treatment and support to Ex-Service men and women whose problems are chronic, complex and long term. We also provide help and advice to their families.
We do this through two main activities:
Short-stay clinical treatment – within a safe, peer-group setting – at one of our residential centres in Ayrshire, Shropshire and Surrey
Community outreach – delivered nationally through a network of Mental Health Practitioners, Community Psychiatric Nurses, and Regional Welfare Officers.

Women's Royal Naval Service Benevolent Trust
Every ex-Wren or female serving member of the Royal Navy who joined the Service between 1st September 1939 and 1st November 1993 is a member.
The primary object of the Trust is to provide relief in cases of necessity or distress among its members and their dependants. The Trust is also empowered, in suitable cases, to make grants for the education of dependants.

The Royal Air Force Photographers Association
Following much the same format as the earlier Associations, the new RAFPA continues to provide a means for both pre- and post-war members' to keep in touch with each other, to arrange annual reunions and social occasions and to offer help and advice to members where this is possible.
The Association also publishes and issues to all members, a periodic magazine reflecting items of interest and the affairs of the Association.

BLESMA is the national charity for limbless Ex-Service men and women and their dependants and widows
The Association promotes the welfare of men and women, who have lost a limb or limbs, or one or both eyes, or the use of limbs as a result of service in any branch of Her Majesty's Forces or Auxiliary Forces. We also assist dependants of limbless ex-service men and women. In addition we help those who lose a limb after service.
