Big changes made at ForcesBid
Forcesbid is committed to raising money through the auction site, and donating it to charities providing services to Forces members and their families.
For this to happen effectively, and for us to raise as much money as possible for these charities we need to run the site without incurring too many unnecessary costs.
As a result and after a lot of thought we at Forcesbid have decided to re-evaluate a few things about the website.
- We are changing our service provider and will no longer powered by CQout, while we appreciate everything CQout has done for Forcesbid, we feel that in the long term it would cost the website more money than necessary, money that could be going to better causes.
- We have decided to abolish the £2 registration fee, as we felt this may discourage people from joining the site, and we want our members to use the site with little cost to them as possible. Any registration fee’s already received from members is committed to go to relevant charities, however, anyone who feels they would like a refund can contact us via replying to this email. The refund will be arranged immediately.
- Any items listed on ForcesBid will be crossed linked to our sister sites globally, maximising the chances of our users finding what they want.
Finally, we encourage members and non-members to offer suggestion, or advice and any ideas will be appreciated.
