'Coming Home' is a new fundraising campaign to help the UK's brave Servicemen and ex-Servicemen whose lives have been changed so dramatically fighting for their country in Afghanistan or Iraq. The campaign's main objective is to provide specially adapted homes for our severely wounded heroes.
We have 50+ cases that we are currently dealing with that need urgent help. Many of them have lost one or more limbs, often as a result of being blown up by improvised explosive devices or landmines. Sadly that will not be the total as many of them will emerge from the rehabilitation centres.
'Coming Home' aims to raise £20 million over the next five years in order to house as many Servicemen as possible.

Haig Housing Trust
Haig Housing Trust charity was established in 2008. The main objective is to provide individual housing solutions for members of the ex-Service or Service community in housing need, especially those with serious injury, disability or illness.
HHT are the housing partner for Service charities, and work alongside other large charities such as H4H and ABF, the Soldiers Charity. When a serviceman approaches any of the charities for assistance with housing, they are passed on to us. We are assisted financially by H4H and ABF and all work together to provide the best solution.
We also liaise with other organisations such as TRBL, SSAFA and BLESMA, who often can provide other types of assistance such as furniture and white goods.
Liaison with MOD, especially the Army Recovery Capability, who are in charge of looking after injured Servicemen throughout their rehabilitation process.
We offer the following services:
- Advice / assistance on adaptations
- Property finding service
- Hand-holding over purchase – negotiations with estate agents & developers
- Shared Ownership Scheme
- Outright purchase and rent back
