A dozen military photographers have bagged top prizes for their work despite tough competition at the RAF Photographic Competition 2009.

The winners managed to trump more than 1,400 entries at the annual contest, which was held at the RAF Club in London last week.  The competition – featuring 12 different categories – celebrates life in the RAF, and covers a variety of roles and experiences in the force, including sports and equipment.
