Legion members in Berkshire will kick off this year’s Poppy Appeal with a distinctly equine theme – at Newbury Racecourse.

The race day, which will be held on 24 October, has been dedicated to the forces. Members of The Royal British Legion and serving personnel will also have free entry to the areas with the best views at the ground’s Premier Enclosure. Additionally, they can benefit from restaurant discounts on the day as well as the chance to sit in a real-life airplane cockpit, or practise their piloting skills in a flight simulator.

The work of The Royal British Legion in supporting friends and families of the armed forces is vital and we’re delighted to be able to lend our support.”
