The strong Christian ethos at Kingswood ensures that new friendships are quickly established, confidence levels raised and any concerns quickly dealt with so that all the pupils enjoy both happiness and excellence with the School community. On making a visit to Kingswood, it is very evident to see why at the recent ISI Inspection the School was judged to provide ‘a high quality of care and support for the pupils, based on very good relationships throughout the School’.
The boarding and day pupils are integrated throughout all ages at Kingswood and therefore both benefit from the opportunity of learning alongside each other. Already having an excellent reputation with our current HM Forces families, Kingswood demonstrates great experience at looking after the needs of these particular children who can often find themselves moving to a new school with very short notice and who need to be made feel that they are a very welcome new addition to the group.
There are superb facilities in science and technology, sport, music and the arts as well as a wide range of extra curricular activities throughout the week (over 100 choices during the year) in addition to the weekend entertainment for boarders. A brand new multi-media library opened in September this year to enhance the independent learning programmes for all pupils within the School. These excellent facilities, together with the high academic standards achieved (100% pass rates at GCSE and A Level) ensures that a Kingswood pupil will be taking much more than good results with them to university!
