Queen Victoria School (QVS) is a unique organisation. Offering education under the Scottish system, with its main intake at Primary 7 level, the school is a Ministry of Defence establishment which exists to support members of the Armed Services who either are Scots or have served in Scotland. At the heart of what we do is providing continuity of education for children whose families have to move frequently, often from one education system to another, as part of their Service commitment.
At QVS we have a mission which lies at the very heart of the school ethos and which guides and underpins everything we do here. The mission is to provide stable uninterrupted and high quality education for the children of Scottish service personnel, or those service personnel who are serving, or have served in Scotland. In so doing we aim to produce well rounded, articulate, and confident young people who are better equipped to face the world outside the school.
QVS is located in Dunblane, near Stirling, in close proximity to the main conurbations in Scotland, and is therefore easily accessible by road, rail, or air. The school itself enjoys a scenic location in 45 acres of beautiful Perthshire countryside.
